WRITTLE (1) was in superb form last season before having a spell after bleeding from a nostril when he won at Gatton by over 2 lengths in June. He has won 3-times fresh-up in the past and will make full use of his handy draw to settle close to the pace. If he doesn't need the run then he is the one to beat. BRAVE WARRIOR (7) has not won for some time but is racing consistently. He benefits from a 3kg claim and will use the pole position to his advantage. Stick with him on an each-way basis. RIVER NOIRE (3) had 3 starts earlier in the year in Melbourne and did not come up as expected so has since changed stables. She was second in a recent trial for her new connections and normally comes to hand quickly. She will find the company in this area more to her liking and won't be long in picking up another win. SMILING ZAC (4) is a local gelding who led all the way to score at a recent Nanango picnic meeting and won't find this any harder. He is in a good space and is right in this.
