HELL OF A LAD (7) ran a nice race first-up over 1280m at Muswellbrook then stayed at a similar trip last start at Taree when a shade disappointing. Cruised to victory third-up last prep and he can do the same here with the step up in distance. CLUBMAN (1) last appeared when an effortless winner on debut over this distance at Canberra on 19 April. Two recent trials haven't shown us much. Clearly talented so keep a close eye on market movements. AUTOFOCUS (9) raced handy and tried hard but just missed the placings in a tight finish over 1200m at this track recently. Crying out for this trip and with a bit of luck from the tricky gate she is a major contender. WINGED (6) has been in the frame at all three runs this time in work, the latest a real flashing light effort over 1200m here. Perfectly drawn and is sure to be hard to hold out. BEAUTY EDGE (3) is in the mix coming off a one-month freshen-up.
