FRENCH RULER (10) Looks to have plenty of ability following a runner-up finish on debut at Canterbury in June, with the form out of that race stacking up well. He's trialled nicely since that effort and the inside draw should see him get every chance. Can return on a winning note. PORTFOLIA (4) has the early speed to be prominent from the awkward alley for JVO following a 1L defeat in Heavy going at Scone most recently. Now third-up, the trip shouldn't be an issue from what we've seen and she'll take plenty of catching from out in front. OMNIC (8) has looks good at the trials this time in and resumes a gelding. Can make his mark on resumption.
