GEORDIE NIGHT boasts some very creditable form at this level and despite not being seen to best effect when third over C&D last month (following an 8-week absence), he looks worth another chance. Springs A Girl is steadily progressive and there may be more improvement to come over this longer trip, while lightly-raced Serious Chat isn't discounted on first run after a breathing operation.

    Verdict
Bumper winner who bagged her second victory over hurdles when seeing off 6 rivals in a Ludlow novice (soft) in December. Progressed on handicap debut when second over the same C&D last month, only narrowly denied. She's going the right way and should go well again now upped in trip.

    Verdict
Winner of a weak race at Wetherby (2½m, good) in November, but failed to keep straight under pressure when second in first-time cheekpieces the following month (Catterick, 19.3f) when easily beaten by Wise Eagle. Returns from short break after wind surgery with a chance if staying this longer trip.

    Verdict
Placed on his last three outings, the form of his penultimate second has worked out well with the race producing multiple winners. Not seen the best effect finishing third of 7 (after 8 weeks off) over C&D last month, having been forced wide into the straight. Looks well worth another chance.

Irish point winner offered promise in novice hurdles but possibly hasn't been the easiest train, with notable absences between runs. Latest effort came after 11 weeks off when fourth of 5 in handicap chase at Newcastle, not finding much. Reverts to hurdling with tongue tie/cheekpieces applied.

    Verdict
Dual handicap hurdle winner over the winter (once over C&D) and far from disgraced in hat-trick bid at this venue when unsuited by emphasis on speed. Paid the price for failing to settle when upped in class latest, though still shaping as if in good form. One to consider back at this track.

    Verdict
Off the mark at Ffos Las (23.9f) in May but has proved hit and miss since, though on a going day when fourth of 17 in a handicap hurdle at Doncaster (24.4f) in January, avoided mistakes and travelled well, but not entirely convincing with his stamina. Not ruled out back around a sharper track.

    Verdict
Won 2 of his 8 start in points and qualifies for handicaps following two placed efforts in maiden/novice company, still green when third of 13 in novice hurdle at Newcastle (20.3f, good to soft) 31 days ago. Needs to improve for this longer distance on handicap debut.
