Open race. Siding with MERRIGOLD (5) who has come back well, just missing fresh at Moe but atoning with a solid win at Mornington second up as favourite, getting the upper hand late over 1200m. The slight rise in trip should suit again and Lane on from a good draw affords her every chance. REGAL MIGHT (1) resumed with a nice win in a Class 1 at Mornington over 1200m. Just three starts back he ran second to Miss Roumbini at Caulfield, with that horse favourite for a Magic Millions race on Friday. Fitter now and can win again. JAZZCLUB (9) was okay fresh at BM70 level at Moonee Valley but had shown good promise in two runs in his maiden campaign. Should improve quickly. APPARATUS (2) was in the market but struggled last time at Flemington. The run prior at this track reads well. LOAFER (10) has upside and should appreciate a rise in trip.
