Fairly useful staying handicapper on Flat for Michael Bell (47,000 gns buy for new connections). Made a promising start over hurdles at Sandown 3 weeks ago, sticking to his task despite his inexperience showing over the last 2 flights. Sure to go well for top local yard with good record in this.

Fair maiden on Flat in France who improved on hurdling debut form when second to promising sort from the Venetia Williams' yard at Leicester (2m). Can do better again.

Fair form over hurdles in France and runner-up to subsequent listed winner Sauvignon on debut, but proved disappointing on first go in this country at Warwick (9/4) recently, finding little.

Modest and disappointing maiden on the Flat for William Haggas. Been off another 7 months and some hope for him being from the family of fairly useful hurdler Shadagann. Tongue tie goes on.

Modest performer successful twice at up to 1½m on the Flat in 2024 and probably needed the run with a tongue strap retained for his hurdling debut after 7 weeks off at Kempton. Has enough about him physically to suggest he'll do better in this sphere at some stage.
