Verdict
ALDEENAARY (4) has been in work for a long while but is holding his form. Came from near the tail to get up for second in a BM80 over this course and distance a fortnight ago. Likely to settle a bit closer this time and is capable of taking this out. LIONEL (3) backs up seven days after a poor effort over the mile at Doomben. Form prior to that in staying races was sound. Nicely in after the claim and is rock hard fit after four runs back from a spell. EL JASOR (2) returned from a five-month break with a dominant win over 1800m at the Sunshine Coast recently. Won over 2414m in the UK before coming to Kris Lees so this extra trip will be right in his wheelhouse. SIMPLY REFUSE (9) was seven-weeks between runs when beaten narrowly over this distance at Doomben last start. Always a threat in this sort of race. KIPLING'S JOURNEY (1) hasn't featured of late but drops in class and gets to a more suitable trip so watch for sharp improvement.

VerdictUseful type. Last start 2nd of 12 at this track Bm80 on February 15 over 2200m, slow going 1.1 len behind Age Of Sail with 55kg at $20. The race before that tracked the speed and boxed on steadily 6th of 10 at Doomben Bm80 on February 1 over 2200m, 3 len behind Chassagne with 56.5kg at $6.
