RUBIX LOVE (5) returned from a 54-week absence for new trainer Chris Zintilis and did a wonderful job to get up by a bob of the head over 1000m at Dalby last start. Lightly raced mare who looks ready to go to a new level and win again. DUBAI DAME (3) had been racing well but blotted the copybook last time out when last of eight over 1300m at Coffs Harbour. Meets a softer line-up today so with McGuren taking over from a 1.5kg claimer she deserves another chance. FLYING BAT (1) last appeared when beaten a whisker over 1650m at Beaudesert on 2 November. Blinkers go on today for the first time which suggests he is ready to run a big race. THE LIGHT FANDANGO (2) worked home well for a midfield finish in a BM58 over 1200m at Coffs Harbour last time. This looks a far more suitable assignment.
