A lot of first-starters here, which makes things tricky, but none of them have produced multiple outstanding trials or jumpouts, which means TOMMYESS (8) deserves top billing after a highly encouraging debut at Sale. Should have taken great improvement from that and is drawn to get every chance. BAYCAT (9) has placed in three of four starts to date and while she's had her chance in most of them that experience could prove crucial here. JASMINA (11) disappointed terribly on debut but the pre-race support suggested she has more talent than we saw that day, so warrants another chance. MUIRFIELD (6) could be the best of the first-starters after impressing in a recent Cranbourne jumpout when not beaten far despite not being knocked about. NEAR NELSON (15) should be better for the debut preparation.
