GALLANT STAR (1) is a deserved favourite and has won three trials leading into this race. Luckless second in this race a year ago and his last start win at Randwick was dynamic. Deserved favourite and likely winner. SPORTS PAGE (12) is an up and coming mare who won impressively at Orange a couple of weeks ago. Has the nice draw and no surprise to see her measure up. POISEN POINT (13) followed two nice Dubbo wins with a close second up to a mile at Orange. Lightly raced and can't overlook. ROUGE MOULIN (10) and PLENITUDE (9) are in the mix for a placing.
