What are hand histories?

Hand histories are records of the hands you’ve played.

You can review them anytime to track your play or analyze your performance.

 

How can I request a hand history?

You can request a text copy of your hand history through the software. It will be sent to you by email.

• Desktop:
  • Open 'Tools'.
  • Select 'History and Stats'.
  • Choose 'Get Hand History'.
• Mobile:
  • Tap the account icon.
  • Go to 'History'.
  • Select Hand History.

You can request:

• Your last 100 hands
• Hands from a specific period
• All hands from a tournament
• A single hand

Play Money and freeroll hands are not archived.

 

What is Instant Hand History?

Instant Hand History lets you view recent hands directly in the software.

• Go to a table.
• Open the top-left menu.
• Select 'Table'.
• Choose 'Instant Hand History'.

A new window will open showing your hands.If you close the software, unsaved hands will be lost.

 

How does the Hand Replayer work?

The Hand Replayer lets you visually replay hands from start to finish.

• Tap the previous hand icon at the table,
• or select 'Visualize' in the 'Instant Hand History' window

 

Can I save hand histories to my computer?

Yes, you can save your hand histories on your desktop.

• Go to 'Settings' in the main lobby.
• Select 'Playing History' → 'Hand History'.
• Pick 'Save My Hand History'.
• Hit 'Apply Changes'.

By default, files are saved to:
C:\Program Files\PokerStars\HandHistory\

To change the folder:

• Go to 'Settings' → 'Playing History' → 'Hand History'.
• Look under 'Where To Save'.
• Select 'Change Folder' if needed.

You can also set how long to store files and choose the language.

Saving hand histories is not supported on mobile.

 

How can I filter hand histories?

Hand histories are stored in chronological order.

For advanced filtering and analysis, you can use third-party tools like:

• PokerTracker
• Hold’em Manager

These tools allow you to upload and filter your hands. Some features may only support English hand histories.

 

How long are hand histories stored?

We store hand histories for up to 7 years. After that, they are deleted.

Save any data you need before this period ends.
